Laura Bhatia has lived in Houston for over 20 years. In that time, she’s lived inside and just outside Loop 610 and gained an appreciation for the characteristics that make each neighborhood unique. Laura’s interest in architecture and real estate began long ago during her years in Brooklyn, New York. After attending The University of St. Thomas, located in the Montrose, she made the move across country to work in advertising in New York. However, it soon became clear that renovating her co-op was her true passion. Several years later, she made the move again, only this time with a family in tow. Destination, a lovely home in West University which she and her husband quickly renovated and then on to their current home in Memorial. Laura has worked with two award winning architects, Tommy Hein, Telluride, CO and Rudy Colby, Colby Designs, Houston, TX. She has also worked on four projects with Houston based Interior Designer, Don Connelly, owner of Area. Through this process, Laura has gained invaluable experience that she can now pass on to clients considering properties requiring renovations or clients facing the challenges of relocation. In addition to architecture and real estate, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two children skiing and hiking in Telluride, CO. She also enjoys volunteering and fund raising in the community.
